NOTICE TO OUR CALLINGTON PATIENTS:

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Rhiannon Starks is joining the Practice on Wednesday 6th June.  However, we regretfully announce that Dr. Rob Adams is leaving Tamar Valley Health in June as he is re-locating to another part of the country. We wish

Dr. Adams all the very best for the future. We are actively recruiting for this post.

If Dr. Adams is your ‘usual’ GP then you will be advised who your new ‘usual’ GP will be once they have been appointed. Until this time you can continue to see any of the GPs or regular locum GPs at Callington.

NOTICE TO OUR GUNNISLAKE PATIENTS:

Dr. Michelle Raspa will be joining the Practice on Thursday 7th June 2018. 

If Dr. Prior was your ‘usual’ GP before he left you may now have

Dr. Raspa as your ‘usual’ GP. Reception can advise you if this is the case after the above date.

Prescription Ordering

A minimum of three clear working days is required to process all repeat prescription requests. ‘Working days’ are classed as Monday to Friday (excluding all Bank Holidays). 

So for example, if you would like your medication to be ready on a (non-Bank Holiday) Monday afternoon, you will need to order it on Wednesday morning at the latest.

Practice Management

The management team is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The team supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception Team Leader

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
