Online Services - latest news:

The way in which prescriptions are ordered online has changed to a much improved system, called ‘Systmonline’. To use this new service, you will need to register for ‘online services’ with the surgery and you will be provided with a username and password. This new system will also allow you to book routine appointments with your named GP. To register for online services, you will need to attend your usual Health Centre with photo identification (if you do not have photo ID, you can discuss with a member of staff any alternative options available to you).

Whilst the new online system is settling in, we would be grateful if you would use the notes section to remind us if you have any special requirements such as extra medication for holiday, medication to be delivered, etc.

The system will advise you when the prescription should be ready for collection and also allow you to request an order for any medication issued to you in the last 12 months that is not on your repeat list (please note that this request may be sent to your usual GP for approval).

It will notify you if you are ordering your medication too early (please ensure you put the reason why in the notes section) and it will also inform you if you are requesting a repeat item that cannot automatically be issued without approval from your GP (e.g. if you are overdue for a blood test or medication review)

Again, please use the notes section but be advised the GP may not issue the medication. We will advise if that is the case.

If you have any queries about Systmonline, please speak to a member of our reception team.

Repeat Prescriptions

(Please read the 'Noticeboard' on the left)

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by ticking the items that you need on your repeat prescription tear-off slip or by writing your name, address and the items on a piece of paper. There is a posting box for repeat prescription requests in each Health Centre, or they can be faxed to 01579 383345 (Callington Health Centre) or 01822 833757 (Gunnislake Health Centre). You can also post requests to us (see top corner for addresses) but please allow sufficient time for delays in the postal service.

Written requests for repeat prescriptions should be received by the practice at least 3 full working days (longer at Bank Holiday times) before the prescription is needed.

Please use the repeat prescription request form attached to your prescription.

Any amendments to the repeat prescription list can only be made with the doctor's permission and will take longer to process.

‘All in one’ Medication Reviews

To improve our service to our patients, we have introduced an 'all in one' medication review. This will reduce the number of times patients need to attend the surgery for routine review appointments every year.  Therefore, patients who are in receipt of repeat medication, or those who fit certain medical criteria, will be called around their month of birth to come in and be seen for a review.

Some patients may need further tests or reviews during the year, so we can maintain quality of care. Where this is already the case it will not involve any change in current practice for the patient.
